WeEk oF ThE 24Th!

Tuesday I took Ryder to the rodeo to watch my nephew do the Muttin' Bustin' in the preshow (riding sheep.) I think it's the best part of the rodeo and Dagen did awesome!!! We only stayed for the preshow since we had tickets for the rodeo on the 24th. I was going to take some pictures of Dagen, but I forgot my camera... :(

We took the kids to the carnival in Spanish Fork. They had SO much fun. Ryder wanted to go on some of the "big kid" rides, but he wasn't quite big enough. BUT, by the time we got up to them...he was too scared anyways. Kam on the other hand was DYING to go on the big kid rides. She is fearless. I would post some pictures but I forgot my camera...again.

Brandon and I took the kids to the Spanish Fork Rodeo on the 24th. We get sweet seats every year with only a fence between the charging bulls and us! :) Seriously though, you get pelted with dirt (my purse was filled with dirt when we left) and sometimes it can get a little scary. We were there with most of my family and it was SO much fun. Thanks mom and dad for the fun night!! It was a lot of fun and I finally remembered my camera...but the battery was dead. :(

Brandon and I went camping over the weekend for his friends surprise birthday party! It was a blast and I will post pictures as soon as I find the card they are on. Thanks to the Johnson's for watching Ryder and the Fry's for watching Kambree while we were gone. (My kids are so naughty I have to separate them, so people can handle watching them :)) I missed out on my family reunion this year since we were already camping, but Christy and her girls took Ryder down for the day. They had a great time and my cousin Nicky was even able to capture a few pics of Ryder that day. Thanks Nick!!!

FISH RODEO

We went to the Fish Rodeo on Saturday. They fill a big pool full of water and fill it with fish. Then the kids get to go in and try to catch the fish with their hands. Certain fish are "winners" and come with a prize...$25. Ryder got a winning fish last year, but no one in our group caught a winning fish this year! The kids loved it and I was surprised but Kambree had no fear in touching in the fish. When she came out her fish fell out of her ziplock and Christy was telling me to pick it up, but there was no way in hell I was going to touch a slimy fish. So, Kam picked it up no problem and played with it....yuck!!!!

I was trying to get a pic of Bree's kids because she forgot her camera, but I didn't have any luck, seeing how Ryder kept jumping in the picture. Sorry Bree.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

This post is a little late (her birthday was Saturday) and I couldn't find a pic of her on my computer (so I had to steal one from Christy's blog!). Anyways, just wanted to wish my mom a Happy Birthday. She flew out to Philadelphia on her birthday and is spending today in New York (hopefully finding me some cute purses!) Mom, I hope you had a great birthday and a great vacation. You are such a nice, loving, caring, generous, thoughtful person and I love you. Thanks for being such a great mom & grandma. I love you!! HELLO CAVITIES.....

I forgot my camera at Nicky's after the fondue party. So, while the kids and I were out today running errands we stopped by her work to pick it up. She works at the CHOCOLATE FACTORY and the kids could not have been happier! My kids hit the mother load with the candy (that isn't even HALF of what she sent home with my kids). They were a little crazy in the factory touching everything and wanting everything. They were acting like kids in a candy store...oh wait, we were in a candy store!

My cousin Nicky put together a fun little fondue party with cheese fondues & my favorite, the dessert fondue (caramel, chocolate & white chocolate cinnamon). Thanks for a fun party Nicky...you are the best!!!

TRAINING DAY

So, I have decided to become a runner! :) I am going to register to run a 5K in September and I am super excited. I have been walking for the last month or so with my friend and we just started running this week. Yesterday I was able to run a WHOLE mile without stopping! Is it pathetic I am excited about getting through a mile? Well, I was pretty damn excited and can't wait to keep going! I meet with a surgeon next week to talk to about my broken foot (another story, another time), hopefully he will not want to schedule surgery before September!

ADVENTURES OF KAMBREE

I've been teaching the kids how important it is to wear sunscreen outside. Kam really listened to me. Yesterday, she sprayed sunscreen all over her bedroom carpet, mirror, armoire, nightstand, bed & toy kitchen. Good thing. At least they won't get a sunburn.

This morning I asked Kambree to throw my gum away for me. She took it from me, put it in her mouth and swallowed it. I guess that is just how she rolls.

VAMPIRES

So, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Twilight Series books and I have pre-ordered the 4th book, Breaking Dawn, which should be on my doorstep in a few weeks. So, I thought I would re-read the first 3 books in the series before Breaking Dawn gets here. And I love the books, I really do, but I just couldn't get into them a second time. Bummer.

FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED

Or should I say Nicky & Bree. I rented The Kite Runner at the movie store a week or so ago. I kept trying to fight the temptation, but it finally got the better of me. YOU ARE WELCOME. For what, you might be asking yourself. For saving you the misery of watching it. It was SO SLOW and I didn't LOVE it. I know, right. It was a sad day at the Fry household.

ECHO TRI

B did the Echo Triathlon on Saturday and rocked it! He finished 6th in his age group with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes! I love going to these events to support him and help cheer him (and his friends) on! The energy there is incredible and I love being a part of it!!

They were biking down the hill so fast that I didn't get any pictures (which I'm sure he is upset about...because I think he loves his new bike more than he loves me! Seriously, the bike has to be brought in the house and if anyone touches it he freaks out! "THE" bike might cost more than a small country, but it's not THAT cool...(at least not to me!)

THANKSGIVING POINT!

We went to Thanksgiving Point...yet again! We have a pass to the dino museum, so we just invite someone new to go with us each time & it's always a great time!! My friend Nicole and her kids met up with us and we had lots of fun!

The museum was celebrating their birthday so they made this dinosaur out of balloons.


They had a face painting station. And let me tell you what, the girls doing the face paintings were REAL professionals!!! (aka THEY SUCKED! They were so cranky and miserable with the kids...)

OUCH!

A couple of days ago Ryder was outside playing and came running into the house crying. But, not just crying, he was SCREAMING! He was yelling so loud, I thought the garbage man had run his leg over! He got stung by a bee (or as he said...a wasp!) on the skin right next to his eye. I gave him some Benadryl and put some ice on his eye. The benadryl knocked him out...which was kind of nice, but he had a swollen eye for 2 days!!

STATS

Kam went to the doc today for her 3 year visit and she is:

37.5" tall (50 percentile)
29.7 lbs. (50 percentile)

I asked the doc about her thumb sucking and he told me that I could let Kam suck her thumb until she is 4! (Thank you doc for making my life a little easier...I was not looking forward to weaning her off her thumb!) He said 90% of kids will stop sucking their thumb by age 4. I asked about damage to her teeth (my niece has a pretty large overbite from sucking her thumb) and he said that usually kids with dental problems (overbites, etc.) would have those problems regardless of sucking their thumb. SWEET!!!!!


After the doctor's visit, we went and got Ry's haircut! He was in desperate need of a cut!

P.S. And I forgot to mention, Kam was pretty disappointed that she didn't get any shots. She was looking forward to them. Like the doc said..."that's abnormal!" :) And I couldn't agree with him more!

SEVEN PEAKS

We went to Seven Peaks and had a BLAST! It was my niece Isabel's birthday (birthday month from hell...) so my sisters and sister in law and all their kids came! I have not been since I was little and everything is so much different now...it's not nearly as big as I remember it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRADEN!

My nephew turned 1 on Saturday (Kam & him share the same birthday, June 28th--his mom is good at doing that!!) and Sunday was his birthday party!

All the kids helped him open his presents and were in his face while he ate his cake. And let me tell you, that cake you see in front of him had to finally be taken away from him! He ate most of that cake, plus ICE CREAM and wasn't even finished when his mom took him in for a bath. I have never seen a little kid eat that much cake. I thought for sure it was going to come back up!

I am a little late posting this (only a week), but Kam's birthday was last Saturday and it was pretty low key. I kept asking her if she wanted to go to the zoo or swimming (something super fun), but this is what she wanted to do:

HAPPY CANADA DAY...(YESTERDAY)

we recently got some new neighbors (some canadian ones to be exact) and they are awesome & normal. we like normal neighbors. so, yesterday was canada day and katie invited us over for some canadian fun. katie started off the night by drawing a picture of the canadian flag on her driveway with the kids' sidewalk chalk because i told her i didn't know what the canadian flag looked like. then, all their friends showed up in their red and white clothes to celebrate. they had refreshments, a bounce house for the kids, sang "O Canada" and had FIREWORKS!!! it was a fun night, so thanks jordan, katie, family & friends!

yesterday at ryder's last t-ball game, kambree was sitting with brandon's mom and dad and becky (brandon's mom) has a mole on her face, that for some reason kambree calls a "nut". (she calls all moles nuts...i don't know why.) so, she was checking out grandma's mole and then went up to grandpa brent and said in a very loud voice, "grandpa, you have two nuts?" i hope no one heard!
